The Washington Huskies-Montana Grizzlies match is currently one of the most anticipated matchups in college football history, but FBSchedules.com has learned it has been pushed back three seasons to 2024. According to an addendum obtained by Missouri State University through a request for state records, the 2021 competition will be held in Missoula, St. Louis.
The Bison travel to Missoula, Mont., to take on the Montana Grizzlies on Saturday, September 2, at 7 p.m. MT, and Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN3 and broadcast on Midco Sports Network and is available on ESPN and the ESPN app.
The Montana Grizzlies will open the 2021 season on Saturday, September 2 at 7 p.m. MT and as previously scheduled for Thursday, September 2. The Griz are also scheduled to host Western Carolina on September 14 and North Dakota on September 7. Missouri State will travel to Dixie State on November 20, 2021, while Montana will host Dixieland State on October 5, 2019 and host the game on August 25, 2020. Also included are dates for the Bison's home debacle against Western Michigan on Friday, August 31, 2018, against the University of Missouri in St. Louis and a home-and-home series with the Missouri Valley Football Conference team.
The first contest of the series will remain the same, with Missouri Montana hosting Springfield on September 12, 2020. The winner of the SLU-Montana matchup will play the first-ever Missouri Valley Football Conference championship game on November 20, 2021.
